In the village of Busserolles, which is only a two minute drive away, they have two grocery stores for your essentials, three bar/cafés, a good campsite with a lake for swimming and some lovely walks in the beautiful French countryside.
A 10 minute drive away is the village of St. Mathieu. It is very easy to find and has a small but very well stocked supermarket, three bars, one of which is English-run, a restaurant, newsagent, bank and post office, so most things can be bought here. 40 minutes away is the city of Angoulême, where there are several large fishing tackle shops selling everything from English baits to top of the range bivvys. During your stay, it is possible to arrange a trip to the tackle shops if required.
